Theme: Digital Entities & Analog Beings
In our show, we build various devices and playful visualizations of the theme.
We promote the use of hands, especially in the coming years when so many things are automated.
With the development of A.I., knowledge-based intellect has lost tremendous value in the market, and people now need to find new frontiers in their lives.
We want to touch, excite, and surprise in whatever we do.
This summer, some of us are building a bronze (A.I.) statue of an “imaginary deity,” a sort of god from a future that does not exist.
And you can have an actual conversation with it.
Humans create strange things for ourselves, spirits, deities, and mythical creatures.
Something that defines for us what they look like, where they live, or through which we can communicate with them.
An artificial intelligence being, an entity that is ours, made by us, born by us.
It fundamentally differs from us as biological beings, but in some way still resembles us, or at least to us.
Artificial intelligence can completely overwhelm us, humans.
Maybe it is a bit like the invention of money, where some wise people say it is neither good nor bad, and it just amplifies the human potential that owns it.
Or is it like a mirror?
Who knows?
As artists, we want to approach it in a serious yet playful manner.
Hands-on, so to speak.
